How to Swing a Golf Club: 6 Top Tips for Beginners

A good golf swing is essential for hitting accurate and powerful shots on the course. If you are new to golf or looking to improve your swing, here are some tips to help you get started:

  1. Start with the grip. How you grip the club can have a big impact on the direction and distance of your shots. To grip the club correctly, place your left hand on the club with your thumb pointing down the shaft, and your right hand with your thumb pointing up the shaft. Make sure that the V formed by your thumb and forefinger on each hand is pointing at your right shoulder (for a right-handed golfer).
  2. Set up properly. A good setup position is essential for a consistent swing. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and parallel to the target line. Bend your knees slightly and keep your weight balanced on the balls of your feet. Position the club so that it is resting on the ground behind the ball and the clubface is square to the target.
  3. Make a smooth backswing. As you begin your swing, turn your shoulders and hips away from the target while keeping your arms relaxed and close to your body. Turn your hips and shoulders as far as you comfortably can while keeping your balance. At the top of your backswing, your left arm should be extended and your right elbow should be close to your side.
  4. Hit down on the ball. As you start your downswing, shift your weight onto your left side and let your arms and hands release the clubhead through the impact zone. Try to hit down on the ball with a slightly descending blow, as this will help you compress the ball and create more backspin.
  5. Follow through. After you make contact with the ball, continue to swing your arms and club through the impact zone and towards the target. Let your clubhead pass your hands and finish with your arms extended and your club pointing towards the sky.
  6. Practice, practice, practice. The key to improving your golf swing is to practice regularly. Start by working on your grip, setup, and backswing on the driving range. Then, move on to practicing your full swing, including your downswing and follow through. Remember to focus on making smooth, controlled swings and don't worry too much about power at first. As you get more comfortable with the swing, you can start to add more speed and power.

By following these tips and practicing regularly, you can improve your golf swing and hit better shots on the course.

How to Play Golf: 7 Tips for Beginners

Golf is a sport that is enjoyed by people all around the world. It is a game that combines physical skill, mental strategy, and a bit of luck. If you are new to golf or are looking to improve your game, here are some tips on how to play:

  1. Start by learning the basic rules of golf. This includes understanding the different types of strokes, how to keep score, and what to do when your ball lands in a hazard or out of bounds.
  1. Practice your swing. A good golf swing requires a combination of power, accuracy, and control. To improve your swing, start by setting up a practice routine that includes stretching, swing drills, and hitting balls on the range.
  1. Get fitted for clubs. Golf clubs come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and materials, and it is important to find clubs that fit your body and skill level. A professional club fitting can help you determine the best clubs for your game.
  1. Work on your short game. A large part of golf is played around the green, and being able to chip, pitch, and putt well can make a big difference in your score. Spend time practicing these shots and try to get a feel for the distance and touch needed to execute them.
  1. Manage your course strategy. Golf is a game of strategy, and it is important to think about your shot selection and course management. Consider factors such as wind, slope, and hazards when deciding which club to use and where to aim your shot.
  1. Stay focused and relaxed. Golf can be a mentally demanding sport, and it is important to stay focused and calm on the course. Try to maintain a positive attitude and don't get too upset over a bad shot.
  1. Have fun! Golf is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise, and spend time with friends. Remember to relax and have a good time on the course.

By following these tips and putting in some practice, you can improve your golf game and have more fun on the course.

Win the Top 3 Drivers for 2018

WIN THREE DRIVERS!

How would you like to win ALL THREE of the top drivers for 2018? Keep watching to find out how you could!

If we're being honest, everybody's favorite golf club is a shiny, new driver, right?

Sure, a putter may be the most beloved club in the bag and -- in many cases -- a putter has a long-term relationship with its player.

But drivers? Those are like the slickest and latest sports cars. They promise more distance and more accuracy and, really, who doesn't want that?

In this video we talk about three of the top, most popular drivers in golf for 2018: the Callaway Rogue, the Ping G400 and the TaylorMade M3.

And we are going to show you how you could win ALL THREE of these amazing drivers!

Callaway Rogue

Callaway Golf made a splash in 2017 with its Epic driver line, featuring what the company calls "Jailbreak Technology." Typically, the crown and the sole of your driver actually flex at impact, resulting in a loss of energy and then a loss of distance. With Jailbreak Technology, Callaway found a way to stabilize the crown and the sole. Titanium posts keep the sole and crown from bulging as much at impact because they are now connected, resulting in better energy transfer into the face, hence more ball speed and more distance.

Now, with 2018's Rogue offerings, Callaway has again implemented its Jailbreak Technology, but also took this line a step further.

Here's what Callaway says about the Rogue:

Rogue employs improved Jailbreak Technology with new, hourglass-shaped titanium bars that are 25 percent lighter, while fulfilling their function to stiffen the crown and sole. The stiffer body allows the face to take on more impact-load to promote faster ball speed, and makes possible our new X-Face VFT face architecture, which promotes fast ball speed across an expansive area of the face. Together, Jailbreak and X-Face VFT work to create what we call the Jailbreak Effect, which promotes a remarkable boost in ball speed and distance.

The drivers retail for $499.99.

Would you like to win a brand new Callaway Rogue and put it into your bag?

PING G400
Saying nothing of its technology -- which we'll get to in a minute -- the flat-black finish on the new PING G400 is just sharp as can be.

With bold "turbulators" across the top of the clubhead, the G400 can reduce drag 40 percent mid-downswing and 15 percent overall to increase clubhead speed and ball velocity for added distance with stability.

Here's how PING describes the G400:

The G400 drivers' streamlined shape offers a big advancement in aerodynamics and stability. The multi-material design combines reduced drag and a thinner, stronger, faster T9S+ forged face to increase speed and distance. With a combined MOI over 9,000 and a deep CG, improved accuracy leads to tighter dispersion.

The G400 is available for $399.99.

We are excited to inclued the Ping G400 as one of the three drivers we will be giving away to TWO lucky winners of our drawing. Keep watching this video to find out how you could get your chance to win!

TaylorMade M3
TaylorMade routinely produces some of the most popular drivers on the PGA Tour. They're in the hands of the likes of Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Jon Rahm, just to name a few.

The 2018 line -- the adjustable M3 and the geocoutsic M4 -- both feature "Twist Face" technology.

Here's how TaylorMade describes Twist Face:

A radical departure from traditional driver-face design, Twist Face is engineered to take you farther and straighter... right down the center of the fairway.

Twist Face presents a revolutionary new face curvature with a corrective face angle on off-center hits, engineered to reduce side spin and deliver straighter shots. By providing more loft in the high-toe and less loft in the low-heel, this groundbreaking technology produces more consistent side spin in the areas where golfers commonly mis-hit.

The M3 retails for $499.99
